What is a uniboot patch cord?

A duplex LC cord whose two fibres share one round jacket and one boot instead of two side by side, so it takes about half the space in a cable manager and its polarity can be reversed at the connector without cutting anything. It costs a little more and pays for itself in a dense panel where forty eight cords have to bend and be traced.
