What does a cable manager do in a rack?

A cable manager is the slotted panel or ring set that routes patch cords tidily between panels and switches. One horizontal manager under each 24 port patch panel keeps 24 cords traceable; without it, a fault means pulling on a knot. Fit one 1U manager per panel, and vertical managers up the sides of a full cabinet.
