What is in the Digisol DG range?

Digisol's catalogue covers active networking and passive structured cabling, including switching, wireless and fibre-related products. A DG family prefix does not by itself specify management features, PoE capability, optical compatibility or a complete cabling channel. Identify each exact model and requirement separately, then confirm interfaces, power, fibre type, connectors and any necessary companion components against the applicable manufacturer documentation.

Information needed for a clear material quote
Active or passive line	Separate switches, wireless equipment and conversion devices from cable, cords, termination components and enclosures. State quantities and exact model codes.
Switching and PoE	Name the management features, port speeds, uplinks, powered-device allocations and total power budget required. Do not infer those features from a DG prefix.
Fibre and FTTH	Specify fibre type, connector ends and polish, link design and compatible optics or access equipment. Similar-looking fibre leads can serve different applications.
Cabling channel	Include the category, shielding, jacket, lengths and matched termination components. Retain consultant-approved codes and required test documents with the BOQ.

Keep the specification intact. Do not use a brand or code prefix as a substitute for model-specific capability. An access switch, media converter and cable line remain different requirements.

Ordering questions

Does every Digisol DG switch provide PoE?

No capability should be inferred from the DG prefix alone. Check the exact switch's powered-port count, supported PoE standards and total budget, alongside its access-port and uplink requirements, before quoting it for powered devices.

Can a Digisol media converter replace any SFP module?

Not as an automatic substitute. Specify the host device, interface speed, fibre type, connector, wavelength arrangement and link distance, then check compatibility for the proposed hardware. Keep the converter and transceiver as distinct BOQ lines until the design is approved.
