RJ45.

Also written 8P8C, modular plug.

What is an RJ45 connector?

RJ45 is the eight-position modular connector used to terminate twisted-pair Ethernet cable. The plug goes on a cord and the matching jack goes in a patch panel or outlet. Plugs are made for solid or stranded conductors and for a specific cable class, so an RJ45 rated below the cable's class becomes the limit of the link.

Defined by ANSI/TIA-568.2-D connector requirements, published by TIA.
