Single mode pigtails.

Also written OS2 pigtail, single mode LC pigtail, yellow pigtail.

Which pigtail for a single mode cable?

A single mode pigtail is spliced onto each fibre of an OS2 cable inside the LIU, and it is chosen by the connector the front plate takes, LC or SC, by the polish, and by count. Order one per fibre terminated, plus spares for the ones a splice loses. It is factory polished, which is why the splice and not the connector is made on site.

Defined by ANSI/TIA-568.3-D for optical fibre cabling components, published by TIA.
