Fortinet.

Asked at the counter

Is Data Systems an authorised Fortinet distributor in Hyderabad?

Yes. Data Systems is an authorised distributor for Fortinet, supplying the range as material from Secunderabad, Hyderabad since 1984, with branches in Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam and dispatch across India. Material moves on a GST invoice through the official channel with the manufacturer's warranty intact.

Which Fortinet products does Data Systems carry?

FortiADC, FortiAI-Protect, FortiAI-SecureAI, FortiAIOps, FortiAP and more. The list above holds every Fortinet part the catalogue carries, each with a page of its own. Send a part code, or describe the job, and the whole list comes back as one quote.

Can you quote a BOQ that names Fortinet?

Yes. Send the schedule as it stands, a photograph of a printed page included, and each line comes back matched with the datasheet for approval. Where a tender needs a manufacturer authorisation letter, the counter arranges it with Fortinet.

What should a FortiGate firewall bundle quote identify?

The exact FortiGate model, whether hardware is included, the FortiGuard service bundle, FortiCare support and the subscription term. Fortinet supports hardware with separate services as well as bundles. A hardware-only line is not a substitute for a requested security bundle.

What is needed for a Fortinet FortiGuard renewal?

Identify the existing appliance, current contract and expiry date, the services to renew and the requested term. If several services need a common expiry, ask whether a co-term quotation is appropriate. Share only the product and contract details required for quoting, not passwords or account access.

Is FortiGate selection just a question of internet speed?

No. Include the security features to be enabled, traffic load, VPN needs, interfaces and any high-availability requirement. Compare those requirements with the exact model's datasheet. A headline firewall throughput number is not automatically the performance with every inspection feature enabled.
