What is a UHF connector?
A UHF connector is the large threaded coaxial connector of two way radio, the PL-259 plug and SO-239 socket, named in an era when 300 MHz counted as ultra high. It has no constant impedance and is unsuitable above a few hundred megahertz, but it remains standard on HF and VHF transceivers and antennas.
