Also written threaded BNC, TNC male, TNC female bulkhead.

What is a TNC connector?

A TNC connector is a BNC with a threaded coupling instead of the bayonet, for the same cable and the same 50 ohm interface, chosen where vibration would loosen a bayonet or the frequency runs higher than a BNC holds cleanly. It appears on GPS antennas, radio equipment and test gear. It does not mate with a BNC. Order by gender, cable and mounting.

Defined by IEC 61169-17, the TNC connector interface, published by IEC.
