What is an SMB connector?

An SMB connector is a small snap-on coaxial connector, larger than MCX and smaller than SMA, used inside equipment and on test leads where connections are made often and a thread would slow them. It is rated to about 4 GHz and comes in 50 and 75 ohm builds. It is ordered by gender, by the cable it terminates and by cable, panel or PCB mounting.

Defined by The IEC 61169 series, which specifies RF coaxial connectors interface by interface, published by IEC.
