PUR or PVC for a sensor cable?

PUR for the plant floor and PVC for the panel is the rule of thumb the trade works to. A polyurethane jacket resists oil, coolant, abrasion and constant flexing in a drag chain, which is what a machine tool does to a cable every day. PVC is cheaper and fine where the cable lies still in a clean cabinet. The jacket is chosen by the route, not the sensor.
