PVC or LSZH jacket?
PVC where the cable runs in a duct, a plant or outdoors under a sheath; LSZH wherever people would breathe the smoke of a fire, which is every office, hospital, school and hotel. PVC is cheaper and more flexible; burning, it gives off dense smoke and acid gas that corrodes the equipment it was meant to serve. Most Indian specifications now write LSZH for indoor runs.
Defined by IEC 60754 and IEC 61034, the tests that separate low smoke zero halogen from PVC, published by IEC.
