What does a plug boot do on a patch cord?
A plug boot is the moulded sleeve behind a modular plug that supports the cable where it enters the connector. Its main job is protecting the latch: a snagless boot shrouds the clip so it cannot catch and snap when the cord is pulled through a bundle. Choose the boot colour to match the site's cord colour code.
