LC/APC connectors.

Also written LC APC, angled LC, green LC connector.

When is an LC/APC connector used?

An LC/APC connector is the angled polish version of LC, green rather than blue, and it is used where reflections back into the source must be kept very low: FTTH and passive optical networks, video over fibre, and some long single mode links. It never mates with a UPC connector. Most building links stay on UPC; the operator side goes APC.

Defined by IEC 61755, which specifies the optical interfaces for the two polishes, published by IEC.
