What is an F type connector?

An F type connector is the 75 ohm screw-on coaxial connector of television, satellite and cable distribution, cheap because the cable's own centre conductor is the pin. It fits RG-6 and RG-59 in crimp and compression forms, with compression the better outdoors. It is a video connector, never a radio one: a 50 ohm run on F type mismatches the whole link.
