What is the D-Link NCB range?

D-Link's structured cabling catalogue includes copper and fibre cable, jacks, panels and patch cords. NCB appears on bulk-cable codes, but a prefix is not a complete system specification. Choose each line by its exact manufacturer code, category, shielding, jacket and dimensions, then confirm which components and test requirements belong to the project's cabling channel.

Information needed for a clear material quote
Cable specificationState Cat6 or Cat6A, shielding, jacket, conductor specification and required length or pack size. Keep indoor and outdoor requirements distinct.
Termination componentsList jacks, faceplates and loaded or unloaded patch panels separately; identify compatible category and shielding for the intended channel.
Patch cordsGive both the length and quantity for rack-side and user-side cords. A bulk cable drum is not a substitute for finished equipment leads.
Acceptance documentsInclude the consultant's approved codes, required test reports and delivery location with PIN code. Name any permitted equivalents explicitly.

Keep the specification intact. Do not assume the whole cabling system is identified by one NCB code, or describe D-Link as a cheaper equivalent without comparing the complete project specification.

Ordering questions

Does Cat6 bulk cable include the jacks and patch panel?

Not unless the quoted bill of materials lists them. Specify the cable, termination components, faceplates, patch cords and accessories as separate lines. This prevents a cable-only price from being mistaken for a complete installed channel.

Can I replace an LSZH cable line with PVC to reduce the quote?

Treat that as a specification change, not a like-for-like match. Keep the required jacket, fire-performance documents and approved part code on the enquiry, and obtain the project owner's approval before considering a different jacket.
