What is an SMA connector?
An SMA connector is the small threaded coaxial connector for radio modules, GPS and cellular antennas and test equipment up to microwave frequencies, with a 50 ohm interface and a quarter inch thread. It is not the same as RP-SMA, which reverses the gender of the centre contact for Wi-Fi gear. Order by gender, by cable and by mounting, and check which of the two the equipment has.
Defined by IEC 61169-15, the SMA connector interface, published by IEC.
